Amadeus is one of the the industry standard booking and reservation systems. This course will train you to understand and use the Amadeus Reservations System. With many travel companies requiring a comprehensive knowledge of online booking systems it is essential to be competant with Amadeus.

Amadeus was formed in 1987 by an alliance between Air France, Lufthansa, Iberia Airlines and Scandinavian Airlines System. Today, it is the leader in terms of number of bookings worldwide with around 35% of the global market and are very strong in Europe and Asia. Airlines using this system currently include: Air France, Iberia, Lufthansa and SAS. Companies using Amadeus also indclude: eBookers, Expedia, Opodo, and Flightline.

This Amadeus course is recognised all over the world and is fully compliant with IATA's GDS (International Air Transport Association's Global Distribution Systems) requirements.

Course Content

Amoungst your introductory training to Amadeus you will learn to know and understand:

• AIS, access type indicators, additional hotel entries, addresses
• Basic flight availability, booking a car at a passenger's destination, booking a hotel at a passenger's destination
• Building a complete PNR and ending transaction, canceling seating elements
• Car terms, changing and deleting PNR data, changing segment status, displaying the subfields of a PNR
• Encoding and decoding cities
• Airports and airlines, entering fare elements, fare displays, fare notes, flight sell, follow-up availability entries, frequent-flyer element, general remarks
• HELP system, hotel segment modification, introduction to classes of service and basic restrictions, introduction to the PNR
• Iinerary pricing, miscellaneous Amadeus functions, name element, OSI elements
• PNR management, PNR queues, practice building complete PNRs
• Rebooking itinerary segments, received-from element, retrieving a PNR from a similar name list, retrieving a PNR from the Amadeus database
• Return availability, SSR elements
• Seat maps, seat requests and wishes
• Signing in and out
• Telephone element, ticketing, ticketing element
• Timetables
• Waitlist assurance
• Working through a PNR queue

Assessment

This Amadeus course is assessed online using our Online Learning Environment and Amadeus Simulator. You will take a series of tests as you progress through the course. There is also a Amadeus exam that is taken online at the end of your course and requires 1 hour to complete.

Study Method

This course is run online through our Online Amadeus Training facility, which provides a Amadeus Simulator so you can use the software as you learn. The course also refers to and uses a workbook (provided).

Qualifications

Upon completion of this Amadeus course you will receive a Amadeus certificate to use as proof of competancy which will be widely accepted by employers. The training can even complement academic courses such as HND, Diplomas & VCEs where required.
