It is estimated that around 350 million people speak Spanish today. Spanish is growing increasingly popular as a second and third language because of its use in tourism, economic and logistical industries. There are many nations where people chiefly use Spanish as their primary language, most notably; Mexico, Brazil, Spain and Portugal. This makes up a huge proportion of Spanish speakers throughout the world.

This course is suitable for students with little or no Spanish ability. It will take you through the basics and once you have completed the course you will be able to deal with some fundamental situations such as ordering food and drink in a restaurant and shopping in a supermarket as well as hotels and everyday life.

Course Duration

Approximately 30 hours depending on the speed at which you wish to progress, the course has no time limits so that you may study at your own pace.

Q: What skills are needed to enrol onto this course?

There are no previous qualifications or skills needed to enrol on this course.

Q: What qualification will I receive?

Once this course is completed, you will attain an OSCA (Open Study College Award) in Spanish level 1. This language course is intended to teach you the basics of Spanish and is a leisure course; while it does not provide a qualification, it is extremely useful for students who need an ability to speak, read, write and understand basic Spanish.

Q: Is there a time limit for completion?

Certainly not! Study at your own pace and in your own time without the pressure of deadlines.

Q: Do I have to sit an exam?

No. We will issue certification based on your coursework alone.

No, everything you need is included in the course price. However you will need a CD player to listen to the CD.

Q: How do I get my work assessed?

Every student is issued with envelopes in order to return your completed work to us. Once we receive your work we will mark it and return it to you. On successful completion of the course you will be awarded our certificate showing your success in the chosen subject.

Q: What happens when I complete my home learning course?

Once you have successfully completed your home learning course we will issue your certification. You can also ask us to pass your details over to our approved recruitment partners to help you take the next step in your career!
