Sabre is one of the the industry standard booking and reservation systems. This course will train you to understand and use the Sabre Reservations System. With many travel companies requiring a comprehensive knowledge of online booking systems it is essential to be competant with Sabre.

Sabre was developed by American Airlines in the 1960s and now boasts a huge worldwide usage. Sabre has approximately 30% of the global market and has a very strong presence in the USA. Airlines using this system currently include: American Airlines, Cathay Pacific, China Airlines, Singapore Airlines and All Nippon. Major travel companies using Sabre include: Expedia, Travelocity, Omega and Kayak making Sabre a great piece of software to understand if you want to get into the travel industry.

Assessment

This Sabre course is assessed online using our Online Learning Environment and Sabre Simulator. You will take a series of tests as you progress through the course. There is also a Sabre exam that is taken online at the end of your course and requires 1 hour to complete.

Study Method

This course is run online through our Online Sabre Training facility, which provides a Sabre Simulator so you can use the software as you learn. The course also refers to and uses a workbook (provided).

Qualifications

Upon completion of this Sabre course you will receive a Sabre certificate to use as proof of competancy which will be widely accepted by employers. The training can even complement academic courses such as HND, Diplomas & VCEs where required.

There is no time limit to complete the course however you have a total of 40 hours of access to the Online Learning Environment, which is more than sufficient to complete the course.

Q: Do I have to sit an exam?

We will issue certification based on your coursework and a series of online tests., there is a short exam at the end of the course, but this is done online and takes around an hour to complete.

No, everything you need is included in the price. You will need to ensure that you have access to a computer, connected to the internet to complete this Sabre course.

Q: Can I get IATA points?

The IATA points system has been dismantled as from January 2006, when the accreditation criteria for the UK had been changed and training points are no longer a requirement for a travel agency to obtain IATA accreditation.
