This TQUK Level 2 Award equips you with essential knowledge and skills to safeguard and protect children, young people, and practitioners in various workplace settings.
You will understand how to identify and respond effectively to signs of abuse or concerns regarding the welfare of a child or young person.
Course content
Understand how to safeguard and protect children, young people, and practitioners in the workplace:
- Identify key elements of the law on safeguarding children and young people.
- Describe how practitioners can take steps to protect themselves from complaints/allegations.
- Identify ways in which concerns can be reported.
Know how to respond to evidence or concerns that a child or young person has been abused:
- Identify characteristics of different types of abuse.
- How to respond when a child/young person discloses abuse.
- Identify the individuals' information of abuse/suspected abuse can be shared with.
