Open Study College are pleased to announce that college co-founder Samantha Rutter has won the award for Best Distance Learning Leader 2016, and collected the college’s award for Excellence in Tutor Support.
With the contributions of women sometimes overlooked, The Corporate Vision 2016 Businesswomen Awards was created to showcase the talents, dedication and hard work of women that have changed the face of the business world.
Samantha said “I’m lucky enough to help run a very female friendly company. We not only employ more women than men, but through our distance learning courses we are empowering women across the UK to up- or re-skill to help them find employment to fit around their childcare, or to help them move forward in their careers.”
Leading a successful, growing distance learning college, Samantha is a great role model for many businesswomen. She now wants to further this success into next year with new and exciting plans.
Samantha continues “I am Operations Director but also I am very much a team player, and this award is really for the whole college team, who are just as delighted as I am to have been recognised in this way, so a big thank you to them too. ”
Women represent around half of the global workforce and are a key contributor to the corporate world: despite this, these contributions are often overlooked. The 2016 Businesswomen Awards are the brainchild of Corporate Vision Magazine, who have created the awards to showcase the talent, dedication and hard work of the women who have changed the face of the business world.
Emma Keen, 2016 Businesswomen Awards Co-ordinator, commented: “Women contribute a great deal to the business market, and it is truly an honour to be able to showcase the very best women from across the market and around the globe in this awards programme. I would like to wish all of my winners continued success moving forward.”
