Written and tutored by a top stylist and industry expert, Dennis Immanuel, our Fashion Styling Diploma gives you an insight into the fashion industry, touching on both its history and new ways and inspirations to innovate and create.
Dennis will be your course tutor and mentor for the duration of your studies and is an experienced fashion stylist. He has his own fashion label, has styled celebrities for the Jonathan Ross show, styled shows for London Fashion Week and has also styled commercial fashion brands such as Snickers and Sassoon. He’s worked as The Head of Wardrobe for several feature films too.
During this course you will get a grasp on vital techniques needed to understand what it takes to become a professional stylist. It also comes with the option to take a practical weekend styling your own fashion shoot, which will help build your portfolio to support you as a fashion stylist/assistant. This means you’ll finish the course with the theory, the practical experience and your first industry contact, in Dennis.

You will have up to 1 year to complete your course, allowing you to study at your own pace.
You will study your course through online learning. Learn through a mix of interactive course materials, videos and mentor sessions and put your knowledge to the test with various learning activities.
Your tutor Dennis will be on hand via email so contact him with any questions or queries you may have throughout your course.
You will also have the option to attend an exciting practical weekend once the theory has been completed! The practical weekend will consist of you styling and creating your own photoshoot using the skills and knowledge learned from the theory. This is a perfect opportunity to get started on your portfolio.
The practical weekend will take place over a weekend (2 days) in Nottingham and you will be responsible for booking and paying for your own accommodation and travel costs for this.
It will be run twice a year in June and December.
There are various learning activities within the learning platform designed to test your knowledge and think outside the box. You will also be required to put together a final portfolio of work after completing the practical weekend.
You will receive your Fashion Styling Diploma. You will also have put together your own photoshoot and portfolio, allowing you to have something to present to future employers or to start your own fashion venture.
This course will help those aspiring stylists to get started in the industry and start looking for work as a styling assistant of a stylist.

You will have up to 1 year to complete your course, but you are able to study in as much or as little time as you require. The only time restriction is the practical weekend which will take place twice a year in June and December.
