What is a psychologist?
A psychologist is someone who help people learn healthy ways to handle mental health problems. They study and help treat people’s social, emotional, and cognitive processes and behaviours. They do this by evaluating and understanding their clients’ thoughts, behaviours, and emotions. Psychologists do this by: identifying behavioural and emotional patterns, diagnosing disorders, making referrals, and coming up with appropriate treatment plans.
