About Open Study College

We are a family-founded college, set up in 2007 by Mark Rutter, his daughter Samantha, along with other family members.

Since then, we’ve grown from offering a handful of courses to over 700! We employ over 50 people at OSC HQ in Birmingham, UK. And we’ve enrolled 120,000 people on courses that have developed their education and helped them to achieve their goals.

Here at OSC, we have always been successful regarding awards, with us winning an impressive 19 awards in total so far. More recently, we have received a number of accolades for our positive impact as a skills provider, including being named Further Education College of the Year and shortlisted for Training Provider of the Year at the 2021 TES FE Awards.

Accredited courses

All of the qualifications Open Study College offers are independently accredited by established awarding organisations.

We provide qualifications such as AAT, ACCA, A Levels, CIPD, GCSEs and CACHE. It’s easier to get the job you want when you have a globally recognised qualification, and with distance learning you can achieve that whilst having total flexibility and control over your studies.
