Open Study College is in the running for a national award in the category of Training Provider of the Year. The TES FE Awards recognise the most outstanding teams and individuals that the further education sector has to offer.
It is a recognition of the efforts Open Study College have put into transforming the face of distance learning, working with accredited qualifications such as A Levels, AAT, CACHE, and ICB, to deliver high quality, flexible learning.
“In an industry which has previously been blackened by some providers not delivering on promises, we are turning this reputation on its head. Open Study College are one of the largest distance learning providers in the UK, offering over 450 high quality courses through trusted providers. We have helped over 50,000 students change their lives.”
In the last year, Open Study College has been working to further improve both student engagement and course delivery, with a focus on the quality of training materials and learner services. Courses are now mobile ready, meaning that students can now learn on the go, they can access course materials as well as opening and uploading documents.
Samantha Rutter, Operations Director at Open Study College, said: “Our aim has been to improve the student experience by harnessing the benefits of the latest mobile and tablet technologies. By doing so, the studying process becomes more flexible and enjoyable for our students. The result is better outcomes for us and improved results for our students.”
“Our innovative approach coupled with our passion for delivering a high quality learning experience for every student delivers qualifications with life changing outcomes.” Samantha added.
Eight providers have been shortlisted in the Training Provider of the Year category at the TES FE Awards and the winner will be announced at a glittering ceremony in London on Friday 24th February.
