Course duration

Once enrolled, you have 12 months to complete your studies. The course will take approximately 400 hours to complete.

Study method

You will study this course by distance learning, which will enable you to learn when and where you want. You can study from home or at work, it is completely up to you. All your materials will be posted or online, depending on the study method you choose. If you choose to study online, your login details will be emailed to you. You will also receive our tutor support by email, so help is only a click away.

Assessment

All units are internally assessed. Some units require demonstration of the counselling skills you have gained which will be assessed through recorded role play. Units will contain a mixture of written assignments and videos. Please note: you will need to ask a family member or friend to assist you with the counselling role play aspect of your video assessments.

Upon successful completion of the course, you will achieve an NCFE CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Counselling Skills.

This qualification is worth 40 credits.

On completion of this NCFE CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Counselling Skills, you will be able to use your qualification to demonstrate your counselling skills and knowledge. While this qualification does not allow students to practice as a counsellor upon completion, it does provide a useful knowledge base for students who work in a variety of support work roles. This could include the health and social care/health/teaching/childcare sectors as a:
